I made a collage out of my first month's one-a-day-photograph. I was trying to decide what to take a picture of yesterday and I saw the collage laying on my worktable. I decided to take a picture of the collage that I had printed out. I took a picture of a picture. Haha Kinda like the result, though, I "tweaked" it just a tad

We celebrated Jordan's 13th birthday tonight. He loves dark, mysterious pictures, so he'll like this one. I took it in the dark with the candles (and "night mode flash" which is just a TINY bit of a flash) as the only light sources.

Here's the photograph I took on Day 21. I have been SOOOOOO vigilant about uploading my pictures, then saving them to my external harddrive and then deleting them!! It doesn't seem to matter, though, because sometimes my computer puts them in the wrong date. I don't know WHY, but I KNEW I took a picture every single day while Steph and Asher were here, but I couldn't find a picture for the 21st. I found this one in with the pictures I took on the 22nd. OY - this keeps happening.

Is there anything cuter than kids and dogs???

Cameron was over here yesterday and we were playing with photo editing. We worked on one of his projects and I was showing him some of the things I've been "playing around with" (errrrrr, working on) and he loved them. He started "hamming" and I took some silly pictures of him. Here's Day 7 - a "portrait of Cam".

365 Project Day 6 and 7

I'm taking my picture-a-day; I'm just not getting them posted each day. But that's ok - as long as I take a picture-a-day.

Here's the picture I took yesterday. I was watching The Talk and playing with my camera and had really never seriously taken a picture of a show on TV. I've seen the kids do it lots of time, though. I was just taking the pictures real fast and I THOUGHT I caught a split second of Sharon Osborn and then it flashed to Sara Gilbert and I thought I caught a double exposure of EACH OF THEM. When I uploaded the picture, it was a double exposure, but only of Sara. It's still very cool. Look closely and you'll see two very distinct images. I love it. I didn't crop if or straighten it or anything.

Today's picture is really different. I'm really enjoying "flexing my editing muscles". This picture started out as a silver and burgandy candle. I shot several different angles and clusters and was pretty happy with the shape and composition. Here's the same photo after quite a bit of manipulation. I see something similar in a frame on one of my walls.

Needless to say, I'm having a blast with this 365 Project!!

It's only DAY 5 and I HAD to get creative. I went outside and took pictures of my ornamental grasses. They're almost as beautiful in the wintertime as they are in the summertime. They take on a different "look" with each individual season. I "played" around with it and manipulated the photo to look like this:

Here is the same photograph, digitally manipulated. I'm in love with all these variations! We used to spend hours in the darkroom to get things that looked similar to some of these!

Here's a collage I made - which gave me the idea for my header. I just love how creativity grows.
